LUIS CUEVA

Luis Cueva is a dedicated attorney with a passion to help others.  Born and raised in Queens, New York, Luis knows, first-hand, the many benefits and challenges that arise from a diverse and multicultural community, and he is committed to helping individuals and families.

Luis attended St. John’s University in Queens, New York, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree, Magna Cum Laude, in legal studies in 2015, and he completed a semester in Europe. He studied in France, Spain and Italy, where he also volunteered to feed the homeless and taught English at local elementary schools. In 2018, Luis earned his law degree, Cum-Laude, from the Thurgood Marshall School of Law (“TMSL”) in Houston, Texas. As a law student, Luis joined the innocence project where he represented incarcerated individuals with their actual innocence claims. He was also accepted into the TMSL criminal law clinic where he represented low-income individuals in criminal court.

Luis is admitted to both the New York State Bar and the New Jersey State Bar. As the son of Peruvian immigrants who came to this country during Peru’s 1980’s terrorism crisis, he has developed a passion for immigration law, and he specializes in removal proceedings. Luis is committed to using his knowledge and skills to help people achieve their goals of a better life in the United States.
